NEWS: Jessica Simpson Marries Eric Johnson In California

Felicitations are in order for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson: the couple of four years, 33 and 34 respectively, married earlier tonight in an outdoor ceremony in Santa Barbara County.

"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the couple said in a statement to People. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives." 

The singer/actress/designer and former NFL tight end tied the knot at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, the same spot where Melissa Etheridge and partner Linda Wallem exchanged vows earlier this year. Simpson wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown.

The 250 guests in attendance included Simpson's sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé Evan Ross, Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren, and CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison. The couple's two children Maxwell Drew Johnson, 2, and Ace Knute Johnson, 1, served as flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.

Simpson and Johnson began dating in May of 2010; Johnson proposed in November of the same year, but wedding plans had been delayed several times due to the arrival of their two children. This is the second marriage for both newlyweds!

NEWS: American Rock Singer, Melissa Etheridge Marries Partner Linda Wallem

Melissa Etheridge married Linda Wallem, her partner of four years, in an intimate outdoor ceremony Saturday night (May 31).

People reports that the ceremony, which included Etheridge's four children, took place at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, and was attended by friends and family including Sia, Jane Lynch, Chelsea Handler, Rosie O'Donnell, Whitney Cummings, and Peter Facinelli. Etheridge wore the suit, while Wallem, an actor and producer best known for creating the Showtime series "Nurse Jackie," wore the white dress. Etheridge performed a brand-new song, one even Wallem had never heard, dedicated to her new bride.

Etheridge and Wallem, both 53, began dating in 2010 after more than a decade of friendship; they announced their engagement last June when the Supreme Court struck down several anti-gay rights laws including California's Prop 8. This marks the first legally sanctioned marriage for both women. The pair embark on their honeymoon to an undisclosed location (Etheridge's surprise for Wallem) tomorrow morning.

Etheridge's last album, "4th Street Feeling," was released in September 2012 via Island Records.
