NEWS: Parents Of Kidnapped Chibok Secondary School Girls Want The Matter Closed
MORE than four months after unfruitful search for their abducted girls, parents of the kidnapped Chibok school girls said they want the matter closed.
Since the girls have been missing for more than four months, the parents said they presumed the students to have died for which their funeral rites have already been performed in their (parents’) minds according to their custom.
They, however, urged the federal government bring the girls’ corpses for honourable burial.
This position was disclosed yesterday by the #BringOurGirls advocacy group, during its daily sit-out meeting for the rescue of the missing school girls at Unity Fountain, Abuja.
“All they said they want is their corpses to bury them honourably,” the group said.
As a way of driving their demand home, the group said it is vigorously mobilizing people on and offline and via social media towards holding a mega protest march in the FCT.
According to them, over 200 groups in Abuja have so far been contacted and have given positive response to participate, with 135 individuals on the group’s database contacted.
While calling on federal government to double its effort to free the girls, the meeting said only political and military action can rescue our girls, and that is why we do what we are doing to compel that.
The group added a new slogan #NotWithoutOurDaughters! in response to a question on when it will stop the campaign.

NEWS: Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Separated For Several Months
TMZ is reporting that not only have Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon begun divorce proceedings, but they've been apart for several months already.
Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ that Mariah and Nick have been living in separate houses in NYC since May.
Cannon sees the kids but that's the extent of their contact.
The beginning of the split is rumored to be Nick's appearance on Big Boy's radio show back in March, during which Nick named five celebrities that he has slept with.
Nick named five (Mariah, Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selina Ebanks, and Kim Kardashian), but TMZ's sources say it was the Kim Kardashian reveal that drove Carey away.
Sources also claim that Carey feels that Nick is taking every job that's offered to him despite being fine monetarily, keeping him away from the kids for extended periods of time.
Nick reportedly earned $75 million for the family since 2011!

NEWS: UK Sends 3 Warplanes To Help Locate The Missing Chibok Secondary School Girls
Britain’s RoyaL Air RAF, Force will send three warplanes to help locate the Nigerian schoolgirls taken by an Islamist terror group, the force has reported.
Four months ago, Boko Haram, abducted more than 200 schoolgirls from the village of Chibok and they remain missing.
The report culled from Daily Mail, yesterday, said that three RAF Tornado GR4s outfitted with surveillance equipment are being deployed to Nigeria to fly reconnaissance missions over the region the group is known to operate in.
A Government source told The Times that the fighter bombers will help the Nigerian authorities by tracking the movements of Boko Haram militants.
According to the report, the mission is dependent on a nearby nation giving them permission to use a runway.
“The UK continues to work with the U.S., France, Nigeria, its neighbours and international partners to provide advice and assistance to the Nigerian Government,” the report stated.
‘Together with our allies we have provided continuous surveillance support to the Nigerian authorities, including satellite imagery. We are still in discussion with partners on the deployment of further surveillance capability.’
The RAPTOR pod, substituted in place of weaponry, is one of the most advanced reconnaissance sensors in the world and greatly increases the effectiveness of the aircraft in the reconnaissance role.
Its introduction into service gave the GR4 the ability to transmit real-time, Long Range Oblique for military effectiveness.
NEWS: UK Launches 6.5 Million Pounds Appeal Fund For Ebola Research
Britain’s Department for International Development (DfID) and the Wellcome Trust on Thursday in London launched a 6.5 million pounds appeal fund for research on combating the Ebola virus.
Justine Greening, International Development Secretary, challenged experts worldwide to come forward urgently with research proposals leading to more effective ways of managing the current outbreak.
He said Ebola outbreak was the worst on record, and controlling the future outbreak of the deadly virus had become imperative.
“We are launching an emergency call for research to strengthen what we know about Ebola and how it spreads”, he said.
Jeremy Farrar, Wellcome Trust’s Director said the Ebola epidemic in West Africa demands an urgent response before it ravaged the region.
He said the two organisers believed that rapid research into humanitarian interventions and therapeutics can have an impact on treatment and containment during the present outbreak.
Farrar said “what we learn could also change the way we approach future outbreaks, providing us with tested tools and techniques that were not available to public health authorities this time.”
He said the research initiative was jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust, one of the world’s largest medical charities, and DfiD and that the projects would be managed by Enhancing Learning & Research for Humanitarian Assistance (ELRHA).
Farrar said funding would be awarded to teams that provide strong evidence and analysis on the disease in areas including anthropology, diagnosis, control and prevention, social mobilisation and treatment.
He said proposals would be reviewed immediately, and research projects that are approved would begin as soon as possible!

The actor who has a Liberian lineage, has made it open that he is scared of going back to Liberia to shoot the second part of his movie, ‘Bendu Sudan’ because of the deadly Ebola virus ravaging the country, it would be recalled that the actor openly announced that he would be shooting the second part of the film in Liberia after shooting the first part in Ghana.
“Ebola is a deadly disease,you can’t joke with it. I have been to Liberia several times to do casting and production meetings, and all was scheduled to go for shoot this month, but because of the Ebola threat, I don’t want to take chances shooting in Liberia. I pray that the good Lord saves us all. I will be going back to shoot the part 2 once the Ebola issues are solved” he said!

NEWS: Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh Dies From Ebola
Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has announced the death, of Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, the firts doctor who attended to Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer.
With her death, Nigeria has recorded five Ebola deaths, of which one was the index (first) case, Patrick Sawyer, one medical doctor, two nurses and the ECOWAS staff.
Nigeria also has five Ebola survivors and three more expected to be discharged later this week.
Dr. Adadevoh, an experienced consultant physician and endocrinologist was Lead Consultant with First Consultants Medical Centre, Obalende, Lagos.
She came into the limelight shortly after the dramatic visit of Sawyer, and will be remembered for saving Nigeria from imminent Ebola epidemic!

NEWS: Christina Aguilera & Fiance Matt Rutler, Welcome Their First Child Together
Congratulations are in order for Christina Aguilera, who has given birth to her second child.
The singer and her fiance Matt Rutler welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on Aug. 16, according to US Weekly.
Aguilera reportedly gave birth via C-section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The couple hasn’t yet announced the name of their new baby daughter.
News that Aguilera was pregnant with her second child arrived shortly after the singer announced her engagement to Rutler on Valentine’s Day of this year.
The two met on the set of Aguilera's 2010 film Burlesque, where Rutler worked as a production assistant.
Aguilera also has a 6-year-old son, Max, from her first marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman!
NEWS: Kid Ink & His Lady Friend Arrested In Las Vegas
Las Vegas isn't exactly the most "peaceful" city in the States, especially in the early hours of the morning.
Regardless, Kid Ink was reportedly arrested for disturbing said peace today.
Details are scarce, but TMZ has revealed that Ink was taken into custody after a scuffle broke out outside of 1Oak nightclub in Sin City.
According to the report, a woman the rapper was with may have instigated the incident, as her "belligerent" behaviour caught the attention of security.
When guards approached Ink and his posse, things got heated, and the cops ended up bringing both Ink and his lady friend to jail -- the rapper for disturbing the peace, and the woman for giving a false statement to police.
Ink should be released this afternoon, but he has a court date set for Monday!
