NEWS: Angelina Jolie Reveals 'Thinking About' Doing A Movie Project With Long Time Partner Brad Pitt

The rumors are true. Angelina Jolie and her longtime partner Brad Pitt already have in their minds a movie project that will reunite them onscreen for the first time since 2005 "Mr and Mrs Smith".

While promoting "Maleficent", Jolie told reporters that she was thinking of cutting back her movie roles in order to do her humanitarian work. She, however, was ankle deep on a project with Pitt. "We are thinking about it," Jolie confirmed while attending a Kensington Palace costume event.

Earlier this month, there were reports that the couple would co-star in a film that she had written. Deadline noted that everything was in "early talks" and "nothing is solidified" although it was most likely happening.

Jolie revealed on Friday, May 9 that she would take sometime away from Hollywood to do her job as U.N. High Commissioner ambassador for Refugees and the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. "I'm sure there will be a few more films," the actress said. "But I am happy I am able to be selective and have fun with characters like this but I would like to focus on writing and directing and above all I would like to focus more on my work with the U.N. and PSVI."

NEWS: New Writer For 'Mission: Impossible V'

A new writer is tapped to pen "Mission: Impossible V", The Hollywood Reporter learns. Will Staples boards the project to write the latest chapter in Ethan Hunt's adventure. "Iron Man 3" scribe Drew Pearce was previously attached to work on the screenplay.

Staples' writing credits include video games "Need for Speed: Rivals" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3". He's attached to write Ben Affleck starrer "Blood & Treasure" for Warner Bros, Fox's "Myth", and Jeremy Renner's starring vehicle "King of Heists".

The upcoming movie is set to be released in the United States on December 25, 2015. Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg are expected to reprise their roles. Christopher McQuarrie ("Jack Reacher") serves behind the lens, and Jessica Chastain is reportedly offered to play the "right hand woman" to Tom Cruise's Hunt.

NEWS: Graca Machel Writes A Letter To The Abducted Chibok Secondary School Girls

Former president Nelson Mandela's wife, Graca Machel has written an emotional letter to the abducted Chibok Secondary School girls who have been kidnapped by Boko Haram.

The girls were abducted from their school dormitory in Chibok on the night of 14th - 15th April.

The abduction has triggered an international outcry with some countries now coming forward offering assistance to bring the schoolgirls home.

Machel, addressed the letter to the parents of the missing girls, calling on them not to lose hope.

Graca Machel Trust spokesperson Sisonke Msimang, says many on the continent look to her as a mother figure, given her credibility as a person who has championed the rights of women and children.

"She also wanted to make it known to the parents that she was also concerned and that something needs to be done by the authorities."

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has threatened in a video to sell the girls "on the market".

Prince Adibe, a Nigerian national living in South Africa, said he dropped everything to take part in the protest.

He also called on the world to take action.

NEWS: Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin Says 'Chibok Girls Must Be Rescued By May 27'

President, Women Arise for Change Initiative, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, explained why the Chibok girls ought to be rescued before May 27.

Some northern leaders and two other groups are against the US help, saying they are going to be reaching out to Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau to secure the release of the abducted girls. What is your take on that?
This clearly shows that the northern leaders are not serious about the rescue of the girls. The Federal Government has  not been able to rescue the girls despite the much acclaimed military might of Nigeria. Is it then wrong to seek help outside Nigeria?

If the US can help get Abubakar Shekau who is the leader of Boko Haram, so be it. All efforts have failed, we have seen so many lies and conflicting reports. Sometimes ago the news was that he had been captured; at another time, they said he had been killed but the men will always come out and do more terrible things.
So, why will anyone or group be against US help to get Shekau? This implies that the northern leaders might not be worried about the insurgency.
On Shekau declaration that he is going to sell the Christians girls and marry off the Muslims among them and nobody can get him.
His declaration is very worrisome and disturbing. I am particularly disturbed by this declaration and I think some very quick action must be taken to stop him from doing it. I believe that if the girls are moved and sold out it might be difficult to rescue and bring them back. So I want efforts intensified from the Nigerian government and the international community.
Children’s Day is around the corner. How do we plan for the celebration without the children?
I do not think we have anything to celebrate for children on their day if the kidnapped girls are not back before then. May 27, 2014 should be a day to call for national action on the security and safety of our children.

Yesterday, Governor Kashim Shettima tearfully appealed to the natives of Borno State to enter a 3 days fasting which will start from May 12 to May 14 to seek for God's helping hand over the missing secondary school girls.

Shettima said:
“We are calling on all Muslims and Christians to embark on a three-day fast to seek God’s help toward rescuing our girls. All of us must fast because we worship the same God. There is no politics or religious issues in this matter because the abduction of the girls is something that should bother us all as parents, uncles and guardians.”

NEWS: Boko Haram Survivor Speaks To CNN “Extremists Fired Shots & Shouted “Allah Hu Akbar”

Houston, Texas (CNN) – Ikenna Nzeribe was the sole survivor after assassins from Boko Haram stormed his Nigerian church in 2012, just 60 miles from where the jihadists last month abducted more than 200 girls.

The church massacre remains vivid for Nzeribe three years later — as are the scars on his face, neck and arm.

The Muslim extremists fired shots into the air and shouted “Allah Hu Akbar,” or God is great.

Nzeribe and 13 other Christians hit the floor.

They were mourning how Boko Haram earlier had killed three fellow Christians, but now Boko Haram was coming for them.

The masked gunmen shot the 13 worshippers in the head, fatally.

Now it was Nzeribe’s turn.

“As soon as I saw the man, I knew it was over for me,” Nzeribe, 33, said about the gunman. “The only thing I could do was say a last prayer, which was ‘Blood of Jesus cover me.’

“And that was it for me,” he told CNN.

Nzeribe, a handsome banker, was shot in the face with an AK-47 assault rifle, blowing away his jaw, lips and part of his tongue.

He faked death — “until they finished,” he said.

He bled profusely.

“I would say I died in the process,” Nzeribe added. “But God brought me back to life.”

Rescuers took him to a local hospital in Mubi, a suburban area in northeastern Nigeria where he was part of a Christian minority and where the mass shooting in church occurred.

He was later flown to London, where surgeons reconstructed his face.

Nzeribe recalled looking in the mirror for the first time post-surgery.

What he saw was “a very different person,” Nzeribe said, shaking his head. He stopped the interview, wiping away the tears and finding composure after long breaths.

A zigzagging scar runs up Nzeribe’s chin to his upper lip. His mouth is even more disfigured, but at least he can talk, in soft tones. And he has a great laugh, though he can’t smile.

He’s had more than a dozen surgeries, with more pending. He’s now recovering in Houston, where he receives treatment and lives with his wife and their baby, joining a Nigerian immigrant community whose residents find the climate similar to their native country’s. His attorney, Frank C. Onyenezi, is working on Nzeribe’s immigration status.

“We’ve come a long way,” Nzeribe said of his surgeries and reconstructed face.

He’s flattered to hear how he appears younger.

“It gives me confidence,” he said of his surgically reconstructed face. “It gives me hope.”

A devout Christian whose tale has been publicized in the religious press, he said has forgiven the gunmen of Boko Haram, whose mass abduction of Nigerian schoolgirls has outraged the international community.

“The first thing I did was to forgive them,” Nzeribe said. “Had they known better, they couldn’t do that.”

But Nzeribe isn’t naïve: He is warning the world about how Boko Haram and its leader, Abubakar Shekau, commit atrocities with impunity.

“Everything he says he will do, he does them,” Nzeribe said. “It gives them a sense of fulfillment and makes them want to do more.

“Just like al Qaeda, they are very, very destructive,” he added.

He now prays for the kidnapped 276 girls, still missing in Nigeria.

NEWS: Chris Brown Serves 131 More Days In Jail

Chris Brown on Friday admitted a probation violation over an altercation last year outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., and was sentenced to remain on probation and serve an additional 131 days in jail.

Brown appeared in court Friday and admitted he committed a crime in Washington in October. His mother and other supporters watched Friday’s court proceedings.

Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced Brown to serve a year in county jail but gave him credit for nearly eight months of time served. The credits include time the Grammy winner has spent in rehab and jail, as well as credits for good behaviour while behind bars.

His admission came in a felony assault case filed after Brown attacked pop singer Rihanna hours before the 2009 Grammy Awards. The pair was dating at the time.

Brown has been in custody since mid-March, when he was arrested after being dismissed from a court-ordered rehab sentence.

NEWS: Boko Haram Finally Agree To Free The Abducted Secondary School Girls, But On One Condition

Boko Haram, who kidnapped more than 200 Secondary School girls are seeking a prisoner swap for jailed comrades, The Daily Telegraph has been told. Shehu Sani, who has previously brokered face-to-face peace talks with Boko Haram, said he believed that the video in which its leader threatened to sell the girls as “slaves” was proof that it planned to use them as bargaining chips rather than kill them. The video released earlier this week showed Abubakar Shekau gloating that he would sell the captives “in the market” to anyone wishing to take them as wives. But while the broadcast appalled the captives’ families and provoked worldwide outrage, Mr Sani saw it as a veiled attempt to reach out for a trade with the Nigerian government. “If you look at the fact that these girls have already been in captivity for some three weeks, then it is possible to detect a conciliatory tone in this statement from Shekau – he is not saying he is going to kill the girls,” Mr Sani said. “The group is most likely to want to attach some kind of conditions to the girls being released, such as the freeing of some of their own prisoners.” Goodluck Jonathan, the Nigerian president, pledged the safe return of the girls, who were taken more than three weeks ago from their boarding school in the lawless Borno region in the north of the country. It is thought that some of them have already died, and there are fears that scores of others have been trafficked into Cameroon!
